Depart hotel for the Golden Triangle – the border town between Thailand, Myanmar and Laos which was used to be the center of “Black Gold” (opium).
Board a motor boat for a cruise along Khong River. A brief stop will be made at Don Sao – Laos check point.

Drive to the foot hill of Doi Tung, take local “Song Taew” (truck with 2 rows seat) up to King’s Mother Palace - Doi Tung, the highest mountain in Chiang Rai.
Doi Tung is sometimes referred as the “Roof of Siam”. This mountain is the site of the Royal Project
which once was destroyed by shifting cultivation by the hill tribes. The King’s mom started Doi Tung Development Project to protect the
forest and eradicate the cultivation of opium and encourage hill tribes to sustain agricultural practices. |

Lunch at Doi Tung Project restaurant After lunch, visit to Aka and Yau hill tribe village before proceed to Mae Chan to visit the “Silver Temple”(Longkun Temple), onward to Chiang Mai with a brief afternoon stop at Suan Jarin where you can taste the home-made coconut pie.

Depart hotel for visit to the Elephant Camp to learn how elephants being trained to work in the teak forest. These talent animals can also trained to do different things. See how they do painting just as good as human.
One of their paintings was bought by an American doctor, and half of the painting can still be seen in the elephant museum. You will have a chance to trek on the elephant.

Lunch at Green Valley. After lunch, visit the handicraft street of Sankampang. You will visit several workshops, including umbrella making center.
Watch the local artisans hone their skill painting umbrella, working with silver carving, silk weaving, lacquer and bronze. |

This evening, you will get the chance to experience traditional northern Thai dinner “Kan Toke” served in local style, picking food with your fingers like locals practice.
Kan Toke means bowls and try of food consist of sticky rice in small basket, tomato dip with vegetable, Hang-Lay curry (influenced by Burmese), fried chicken. After dinner, watch the northern folk shows.

Most of them are the products from the hill tribe who once grow poppy. Continue to Chiang Mai airport. |

Transfer to local pier for boarding the boat for Phang Nga Bay, where the famous movie “James Bond” was filmed. Visiting “Little Guilin of Thailand” famed for its rock formation – a must visitors to Phuket. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of sea-mountains while cruising along in the bay.
Stop to visit the Sea Gypsy Village. These groups of people came from Indonesia years ago to look for fertile land to build their home. They lived in the houses built on the stilts even their football play ground. Lunch en route. |

PHUKET – BANGKOK

Today, you will go to visit Phuket City. See the Chino Portuguese style building, some of them were built over 100 years ago. Drive up to Rang Hill where you will be able to see the panoramic view of Phuket town. Visit Wat Chalong, the most important temple of Phuket.
Visit to cashew nut factory seeing how they crack the nut one by one. You will know the reason why cashew nut is more expensive than other kinds of nut. A brief stop at handicraft center before return to hotel.
